Proposed Code Amendments

The Allen City Council is scheduled to conduct a public hearing during its regular meeting on July 28, 2026.

The council will consider adopting an ordinance to amend the Allen Land Development Code.

The proposed legislation targets several specific sections of the municipal code.

Regulatory Changes and Definitions

The amendments include modifications to Section 4.08.19 regarding the Downtown District to correct scrivener errors from a prior ordinance.

Section 4.20.2 will update regulations concerning manufactured home uses.

Additional changes address temporary use permit applications under Section 6.04.1 and mobile food establishment requirements in Section 6.06.15.

Executive Session Authorization

Appendix A definitions will also be updated to align with the manufactured home provisions.

The agenda notes that the council may convene a closed executive session under Texas Government Code Section 551.071.

This session would allow the city to seek confidential legal advice from the City Attorney regarding agenda items.
