Allen High School’s band and color guard have reached marching-contest finals for the first time since 2021, earning berths at two competitions, Allen ISD reported Oct. 20.
At the Wylie Marching Contest, Allen placed sixth in preliminary competition and qualified for finals. The group did not perform in that round because of Homecoming, the district said.
The Don Hanna Memorial Marching Contest brought another finals berth, an eighth-place overall finish and the Class 6A championship. The class title and overall placement are separate results, rather than an overall contest victory.
