Dallas struck first in the initial frame to take control early. Miro Heiskanen recorded his second goal of the season with a backhand shot, assisted by Roope Hintz and Jamie Benn. The goal broke the deadlock and put the Stars ahead 1-0.

Second Period Surge

The scoring intensified during the second period as Dallas expanded its lead to four goals.
