QKS Group has identified NETSCOUT as a leader in its 2026 SPARK Matrix for Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) mitigation. This marks the second consecutive year the company has received both Leader and Ace Performer designations from the research firm. The announcement was made on August 25, 2026, from Pune, India.

According to QKS Group, Ace Performers are vendors that demonstrate strong operational performance. This status is based on evaluations of revenue growth potential, partnership strategies, and customer acquisition over the previous year or since the last assessment. NETSCOUT earned high ratings in both technology excellence and customer impact, securing its position in the top tier of the market.

Lokesh Biswal, an analyst at QKS Group, noted that NETSCOUT provides carrier-grade mitigation through a layered architecture. He stated that the solution combines deep network visibility, hybrid deployment flexibility, and global threat intelligence. By using stateless packet processing and the ATLAS intelligence platform, the system allows organizations to detect and mitigate high-volume, multi-vector attacks.

Biswal added that the transparent automation and coordination between on-premises and cloud defenses help accelerate response times and support resilient security operations.

The company differentiates itself in the market by focusing on network-first defense. Its Arbor portfolio integrates on-premises, cloud, and hybrid mitigation with what the source describes as transparent glass-box automation. This approach is particularly suited for telecoms, ISPs, and large enterprises that require high-scale protection and granular control.

Unlike vendors that prioritize application-layer security, NETSCOUT emphasizes protecting network availability through broad global threat intelligence and coordinated mitigation across complex infrastructures.

Tom Bienkowski, senior director of security product marketing at NETSCOUT, said the recognition reflects the company's commitment to helping customers navigate the dynamic DDoS threat landscape. He explained that the approach combines decades of expertise, global threat intelligence, and intelligent automation with the scale of on-premises and cloud protection.

The QKS Group SPARK Matrix provides a competitive analysis and ranking of leading DDoS mitigation vendors, offering strategic information for users evaluating different vendor capabilities and market positions.

Netscout employs about 323 people in Allen, according to local government records.
