Imai’s Dominance Sets the Stage
Tatsuya Imai anchored the Houston Astros’ victory with a sharp six-inning performance, striking out eight batters while allowing just one earned run. The right-hander improved his record to 6-4, providing the stable foundation Houston needed to secure a 5-3 win over the Miami Marlins at Daikin Park.
Imai navigated through early trouble in the first inning but settled in effectively. He was supported by a bullpen that closed the door in the late innings, with Josh Hader earning his 11th save by retiring the side in the ninth.
Early Marlins Lead
The visiting Marlins struck first, taking a 1-0 advantage in the top of the first inning. Luis Peña homered to left-center field, measuring 405 feet. The home run initially stood, but an umpire review overturned the call on the field. Despite the review, the run counted, giving Miami an early edge.
