Allen ISD earned an A in the Texas Education Agency's 2026 accountability ratings, with an overall score of 90 across 22 rated campuses.

Fourteen of those campuses earned an A and seven earned a B. One, Alvis C. Story Elementary, earned a C with a score of 70. It was the only campus in the district rated below a B, and the only thing standing between Allen ISD and a report card without a single non-A-or-B campus.

The strongest results

Three campuses tied for the district's top score at 94: Lowery Freshman Center, Walter and Lois Curtis Middle School, and Ereckson Middle School.

The pattern is worth noting. In most districts the highest scores cluster at elementary campuses, where testing is more forgiving. Allen's cluster at the middle and freshman level.

Where the district scored

Allen posted 90 in student achievement, an A. Closing the gaps came in at 89 and school progress at 82, both B ratings, with academic growth at 80.

The district enrolls 20,092 students across 23 schools.

The gap inside the district

The distance between Allen's best campus at 94 and its lowest at 70 is 24 points. That is narrower than most districts of comparable size, but it is not nothing, and it sits almost entirely at the elementary level: Gene M. Reed Elementary at 81 and Alton Boyd Elementary at 86 are the next two from the bottom.

For a district that has earned A ratings consistently, the elementary tail is the part of the report worth watching.
