The animated series "King of the Hill" has returned for its 15th season, featuring 10 new episodes available on Hulu since July 20. The show's fictional town of Arlen, where characters like Hank Hill reside, is modeled on Richardson, Texas.
This season is particularly notable as it includes references to local landmarks, including the University of Texas at Dallas, which is located in Richardson's Telecom Corridor.
Co-creator Mike Judge, who lived in Richardson during the 1990s, previously stated that Arlen was inspired by the city. While Arlen is a composite of various Dallas-area suburbs, it retains elements that reflect Richardson's character, such as wide streets and backyard grills. This season also showcases Hank repairing Big Tex at the State Fair of Texas and features Whataburger.
In the storyline, Hank and Peggy navigate retirement on Rainey Street, while their son Bobby operates a fusion restaurant in Dallas and aspires to join a reality cooking show. The voice cast, including Judge and Kathy Najimy, has returned for this season, which has already been renewed through season 17.
