Universal Kids Resort has officially opened its doors in Frisco, prompting nearby commercial establishments to position themselves for sustained economic expansion. Business owners in the immediate vicinity are betting that the new family attraction will generate consistent foot traffic and support long-term growth for the corridor.
The Brunch District, a restaurant that opened approximately one month ago, is situated just down the road from the resort. Christian Navarro, the establishment's manager, noted that while the venue experiences fluctuations in daily volume, weekends tend to be particularly busy. He anticipates that customer numbers will rise as more visitors become aware of the location.
Navarro highlighted the concentration of major attractions in the area, including The Fields and the PGA, alongside the new Universal property. Although he described current activity as slightly slower than initial projections, he remains confident that the area will see steady demand within a year.
Having lived in Frisco for nine years, Navarro has witnessed the rapid transformation of the landscape from open land and dirt roads to one of North Texas' fastest-growing commercial corridors.
Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney addressed potential concerns regarding congestion, stating that city engineers prepared for increased volume well before the resort's debut. According to Cheney, infrastructure improvements were completed in advance to accommodate the expected load.
