Duncanville and Allen will kick off their 2026 football seasons with a matchup at Eagle Stadium in Allen, Texas. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT on Friday, August 28, and has been designated as the MaxPreps Game of the Week.
This contest marks a rematch of the Class 6A Division I state semifinal from the previous year, where Duncanville defeated Allen 31-9 to advance to the state championship game.
The Panthers enter the season as the top-ranked team in the High School On SI Texas preseason rankings, while the Eagles hold the No. 7 spot. Both programs are considered perennial powers in the state, with Duncanville holding three state titles and Allen possessing five.
The game will be streamed by the NFHS Network, though the broadcast is blacked out for viewers within the Dallas-Fort Worth designated market area.
Allen looks to start its campaign with a young offensive core led by Ty Snell, a Class of 2029 quarterback prospect who has received more than 30 Division I offers. Snell will throw to wide receiver Zach Williams, another Class of 2029 recruit with over 30 Division I offers.
The Eagles finished the 2025 season with a 14-1 record before falling to Duncanville in the playoffs.
