Allen High School retained the number one position in the Class 6A area rankings after securing three-set victories against Plano East and Prosper. The team’s success was highlighted by Texas A&M commit Maya Ogbogu, who recorded 13 kills during the win over Prosper on Tuesday. Allen also received nine kills each from Baylor commit Olivia Kitur and Soleil Rhodes, while Landry McRae contributed 41 assists.

Allen currently holds a 25-2 record and is ranked fifth nationally by MaxPreps. The area rankings place Hebron at number two with a 23-6 record, followed by Plano Prestonwood Christian at number three with a 19-2 mark.

Trophy Club Byron Nelson sits at number four with a 19-3 record, while Duncanville moved up one spot to number six after defeating North Forney and Mansfield Lake Ridge.

Several top programs were missing key players due to international competition. Byron Nelson was without setter Sophee Peterson, and Plano Prestonwood Christian lacked middle blocker Nyla Livings. Both athletes were in Nicaragua supporting the United States team, which defeated the Dominican Republic to win the NORCECA U23 Pan Am Cup for the second consecutive year.

In other Class 6A movements, North Forney entered the rankings at number ten with a 20-11 record after beating Rockwall-Heath. Plano West dropped to number seven after losing to Northwest Eaton, while Wylie remained at number eight and Mansfield stayed at number nine. Flower Mound held the fifth spot with a 15-6 record.

In the Class 5A-others division, Plano Prestonwood Christian remains at number one. SMU commit Taylor Johnson and Livings combined for 26 kills in a three-set sweep of Fort Worth Nolan. McKinney North rose to number three after sweeping Melissa and Nevada Community. Celina joined the rankings at number eight following a four-set win over Lovejoy, which dropped out of the top ten.
