Sazon De Loa, a Mexican restaurant in Plano, is actively recruiting employees following an unexpected surge in patronage. The influx of customers began after a video posted by the owner’s 15-year-old daughter, Leslie De Loa, gained significant traction online. The establishment is located on Renner Road in Plano, which sits approximately 6 miles south of Allen.
Prior to the viral attention, the business faced potential closure due to low foot traffic. Leslie De Loa recorded a message asking for support for her family’s enterprise. In the clip, she explained that the restaurant was struggling to attract diners despite her father’s efforts.
She invited the public to visit for food and drinks, emphasizing the hard work her father had put into the business.
The video’s reach expanded when TikToker Bucky Wild Child, who has more than 110,000 followers, shared the plea. The influencer had visited the Renner Road location earlier in the week. Following the share, the restaurant experienced a dramatic increase in visitors.
Patrons have traveled from various distances to support the business. Customer Jhazmin Martinez stated she saw the video and decided to visit for a date night. Another customer, Jesus Martinez, described the food as delicious.
Some diners, such as Diego Osorio, expressed surprise at the size of the crowd upon arrival. Osorio noted that while the wait exceeded an hour, he was willing to stay for the meal.
Customer C.J. Nelson also indicated that the longer wait times were acceptable given the quality of the food. Leslie De Loa expressed amazement at the community’s willingness to spend time visiting the restaurant.
