Dallas announced via social media on Thursday that it has reached an agreement with tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford. His agent, Mike McCartney, confirmed the three-year contract extension.
Spann-Ford was originally scheduled to become a restricted free agent in 2027. The new terms keep him with the franchise through the 2029 season. Before this extension took effect, he was set to earn $966,666 during the current campaign.
The former Minnesota Golden Gopher entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2024. He has appeared in all 34 games for Dallas since then. His consistent performance allowed him to take over as the team's second tight end, displacing Luke Schoonmaker, who was selected in the second round of the 2023 draft.
Spann-Ford has recorded 18 catches for 178 yards and one touchdown. He participated in 25.5 percent of the team's offensive snaps over the past two seasons. Last year, he logged 357 special teams plays.
