Last week, the Cowboys restructured contracts for players including defensive tackle Kenny Clark, cornerback DaRon Bland, and tight end Jake Ferguson, resulting in $19 million in salary-cap space. These adjustments are seen as bookkeeping measures that do not impact the players' current salaries but increase future financial flexibility.
Jones noted that the timing of these moves could allow for a trade before the mid-season deadline.
