Baltimore’s flight from its home city will cover approximately 4,781 miles. The game is set for 5:25 p.m. in Rio, where the clock is one hour ahead of Eastern Time. CBS Sports reported that the teams might leave Brazil after midnight, and Dallas’ return flight is expected to exceed 10 hours, potentially bringing the Cowboys back to Dallas near noon on Monday.
In Week 4, Dallas is scheduled to visit the Houston Texans, while Baltimore is set to host the Tennessee Titans.
Previous teams making similar trips had extra rest. The Los Angeles Rams flew 5,456 miles to London last season and then had a bye. The Rams and San Francisco 49ers traveled over 7,800 miles to Australia for a Week 1 game and had at least 10 days before their next contests.
Earlier NFL games in Brazil were also played in Week 1. Before this trip, Denver’s longest comparable journey without a bye was a 4,670-mile London flight in Week 6 last season. CBS Sports also cited Miami’s 2021 journey of at least 4,400 miles, after which the Dolphins lost to Jacksonville in London and later overcame a double-digit deficit.
