Ryan Flournoy is set to remain with the Dallas Cowboys through the 2027 season under a reported one-year, $6 million extension. The agreement is expected to be signed this week, before Dallas opens its regular season against the New York Giants.
The wide receiver was a sixth-round pick by Dallas in 2024. He would have been in line for restricted free agency after the 2026 season, but the extension gives the Cowboys control for an additional year and removes that potential outcome.
Dallas waived Flournoy during its first roster cuts of 2025. After clearing waivers, he rejoined the organization on its practice squad. That contract replaced his original four-year rookie agreement, leaving three years on the new deal before a possible restricted-free-agent season.
The team called his 2025 campaign a breakout year. The extension provides room for him to develop during the 2026 and 2027 seasons, with a longer contract still possible later. Dallas has also reached a three-year extension with tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford.
