Houston Texans linebacker Henry To'oTo'o is expected to miss time with a shoulder injury, coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday after the team's 36-31 loss to Buffalo. The injury adds a personnel issue before Houston faces three teams that ranked among the NFL's top 12 scoring offenses last season, including the Dallas Cowboys.
To'oTo'o was injured with 2:34 left in the fourth quarter while tackling Bills tight end Dawson Knox. He needed assistance to get up, went to the sideline and did not return. Ryans said Houston has not decided whether to place the starting linebacker on injured reserve.
Houston selected To'oTo'o in the fifth round of the 2023 draft. He agreed to a two-year extension worth $16 million in August. The Bills' 36 points were Houston's second-highest total allowed during Ryans' tenure, behind the 37 points Tampa Bay scored in 2023.
It was also the Texans' first game allowing more than 30 points since Baltimore scored 31 on Christmas in 2024. Houston will host Cincinnati, visit Indianapolis and then host Dallas in its next three games. ESPN reported the injury update.
