Nico Collins’ status for the Houston Texans’ Week 4 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys remains unsettled, though coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday that he wants the wide receiver back for the game. Collins has missed Houston’s last two contests while recovering from a Grade 1 hamstring strain.
Collins has not practiced over the past two weeks. He would likely need to participate in practice, even on a limited basis, between Wednesday and Friday to have a realistic opportunity to play Sunday. Ryans’ comments offered hope of a return, but did not clarify whether Collins will be available.
Houston is 0-3 to begin the season. The Texans’ offense has struggled during the two games Collins has missed. The update was reported by cbssports.com.
