Trent Brown was back on the Houston Texans’ practice field Thursday, but wide receiver Nico Collins remained absent before the team’s Week 3 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts.
Brown has started both of Houston’s regular-season games and is expected to remain the right tackle if his progress continues before Sunday. He had been listed with wrist and knee injuries. Brown has recorded eight pressures, four penalties and one sack through two games.
Houston moved Brown into the starting role after Braden Smith sustained a preseason foot injury and went on injured reserve for the season’s first four weeks. Blake Fisher and Nate Thomas are listed behind Brown at tackle. Fisher was a second-round selection in 2024, while Thomas joined Houston in a trade during roster cutdowns.
Collins missed his second practice this week and his fourth consecutive session since his injury. The available report did not provide further information about his status.
