Texas A&M Aggies head coach Mike Elko announced that wide receiver Madden Williams will be out for the entire 2026 season due to a lower-body injury sustained during a recent practice. Williams will need surgery to address the injury.
He was not in uniform for the season opener against Missouri State, joining safety Tawfiq Byard on the sidelines. Williams is the third wide receiver to be unavailable for the Aggies before the season began.
Earlier in fall camp, Jonah Wilson was removed from the roster after transferring from Houston, and Jerome Myles, a former five-star recruit, left the program due to personal reasons after missing the entire 2025 season.
With Williams sidelined, Texas A&M will depend on primary wide receivers Mario Craver, Isaiah Horton, and Ashton Bethel-Roman. The absence of Williams allows other players to step up, including true freshman Aaron Gregory, who caught a 15-yard touchdown pass and finished with two receptions for 22 yards in the opener.
Kelshaun Johnson and TK Norman will also see increased opportunities, with Johnson recording three catches for 25 yards against Missouri State. The team will finalize its wide receiver depth chart in the coming games before facing LSU in Baton Rouge.
