The Dallas Cowboys completed their roster adjustments to comply with the NFL's 53-player deadline this weekend, leading to several important cuts. Among those waived were second-year running back Jaydon Blue and former second-round pick Sam Williams. In a surprising decision, quarterback Joe Milton III was also released despite a strong preseason performance.

Following these changes, the Cowboys claimed running back Emari Demercado off waivers and signed offensive tackle Wanya Morris. Many of the released players were retained on the practice squad, which now features a mix of rookies and veterans, including Israel Abanikanda (RB), Jordan Hudson (WR), and several others.

Notable performances during the preseason came from wide receiver Jordan Hudson, who made impressive catches, and defensive tackle Tommy Dunn, recognized for his run defense. Linebacker Justin Barron excelled in coverage, while Curtis Robinson made significant contributions on special teams.

Some players who were cut have found new opportunities; Julius Wood was claimed by the Miami Dolphins, while guard Trevor Keegan signed with the Minnesota Vikings. Sam Williams, who had 8.5 sacks in his first two seasons, joined the Cleveland Browns after facing challenges post-ACL surgery.

Jaydon Blue, along with others, has also signed with practice squads of different NFL teams, marking a new chapter in their careers.
