The No. 10 BYU Cougars secured a 17-10 victory over the TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth. The decisive factor in the contest was the dual-threat performance of Bear Bachmeier, who accounted for both of BYU’s touchdowns on the ground. The win improves the Cougars’ record to 4-0, while the Horned Frogs drop to 2-3 on the season.

Early Scoring and Mid-Game Shift

Neither team managed to score in the first quarter, leaving the game tied at 0-0 heading into the second period. BYU struck first in the second quarter when Bear Bachmeier rushed for a nine-yard touchdown, with Matthias Dunn adding the extra point to make it 7-0. TCU responded quickly to tie the game at 7-7.

Jaden Craig found Kari Ashley for a 13-yard passing play, and Nate McCashland kicked the extra point to equalize the score.
