Texas answered in the fifth inning when Adolis Garcia’s triple to right allowed Nathaniel Lowe to score, narrowing the gap to 3-2. The Rangers took their first lead in the seventh inning when Josh Smith’s sacrifice fly to left scored Marcus Semien, making it 4-3.
However, Houston quickly regained the advantage in the same inning when Yordan Alvarez singled to center, scoring both Jake Meyers and Yuli Gurriel to make it 4-4.
Home Run Battle
The game featured three home runs, with Josh Smith and Jose Altuve connecting from opposite sides. Smith’s blast to left in the eighth inning gave Texas a 5-4 lead, but the Astros responded immediately when Kyle Tucker homered to left, tying the score at 5-5. The tension remained high as the game entered the final frame, with both bullpens working to hold the tie.
