Early Offense Sets Pace
The Braves’ bats came alive early, taking a 2-0 lead in the second inning. Austin Riley and Josh Smith provided early support, with Smith scoring on a single by Matt Olson and Riley crossing the plate on a subsequent hit by Michael Harris II. The offensive explosion continued in the fourth inning, where Atlanta added five runs.
Olson homered to right field for 420 feet, followed by a three-run blast from Olson to center field, measuring 419 feet. Jarvis and Hicklen circled the bases on that long ball. Olson added another solo home run to right field, extending the lead to 6-0.
Continued Pressure
Atlanta maintained its momentum in the fifth inning, scoring two more runs. Smith crossed the plate on a double by Jarvis, and Jarvis himself scored on a single by Olson.
