Allen, Texas — Will Grier will join the Cowboys as an offensive assistant, beginning the role when training camp opens next week.
The move reunites him with Brian Schottenheimer and Dak Prescott in the Cowboys organization.
Dallas made the announcement July 24. The club said the 31-year-old had recently retired after an offseason with Carolina; ESPN reported he ended his playing career July 15.
Carolina selected Grier in the third round in 2019. He later had two separate Cowboys stints, largely in preseason and practice-squad roles.
