Ice cream shop The Cream & Crumb files plans for a Stacy Road storefront, with build-out set for late October

An ice cream shop called The Cream & Crumb is headed for East Stacy Road in Allen, according to plans registered with the state this week.

The project, registered Oct. 7 in the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation's accessibility database, covers the interior finish-out of an ice cream shop in Suite 160 at 1546 E. Stacy Road. The filing estimates the cost at $150,000 for about 1,200 square feet.

Work is set to begin Wednesday, Oct. 21, and finish by Nov. 30. No opening date appears in the record.

What the work involves

The scope described in the filing includes tearing out existing walls, building new ones, and installing new plumbing and electrical systems, along with required mechanical, electrical and plumbing work. The existing heating and air conditioning system is to stay in place with limited changes.

The record lists the project as privately funded, with the tenant covering the cost. The property owner is LC Village 1546 LLC, which uses the same Stacy Road address.
