The City of Allen has no race or proposition on the Nov. 3 ballot, according to Collin County's sample ballot, but residents still have plenty to decide.

The ballot opens with the race for U.S. Senate among Republican Ken Paxton, Democrat James Talarico and Libertarian Ted Brown, followed by the governor's race and the other statewide executive offices. A U.S. House seat, a state House seat and state appeals court seats are also on it, with the exact districts depending on address.

At the county level, voters choose between Chris Hill (R) and John R. "Buster" Brown (D) for county judge and between Stacey Kemp (R) and John Russell (D) for county clerk. Collin County is also asking for four bond propositions, and Collin College for one, both reported on previously.

The appraisal district board is on the ballot too, with three places to fill.

To vote, residents must register by Monday, Oct. 5. In-person early voting is Oct. 19-30, and Election Day polls are open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. A ballot lookup by address is on the Collin County elections site.
