Work paid for by Allen ISD's 2024 bond is nearly finished at three campuses and has barely begun at others, according to the monthly construction report included in the packet for the Board of Trustees' Oct. 26 meeting.

The report, dated Sept. 30, tracks each project in the $442 million bond by percent complete. Olson's renovation stands at 99%. Curtis and Cheatham are both at 94%, and Anderson is at 88%. The new multipurpose complex at Allen High School is listed at 68%, with a revised budget of about $34.9 million, down from the roughly $39.8 million originally proposed.

At the other end, the Ford renovation shows 39% complete, but its revised budget so far is $956,958 of the nearly $54 million first proposed for it. The Norton renovation, proposed at about $33.7 million, has no revised budget and is listed at 0%.

Where the money stands

Of the $442 million voters approved, the district has sold $220 million in bonds, in February 2025, and earned about $11.3 million in interest. The report shows $139.4 million spent in earlier periods and $40.7 million in the current-year column, with another $21.6 million committed under contracts.

Several smaller projects are complete, including the line listed as the LFC tennis court, landscape and irrigation work and fire safety upgrades. Playground replacements are at 92% and the athletic complex refresh at 84%. Roofing is at 58%.

The food service renovations, now budgeted at $5.7 million against $4.6 million proposed, are at 58%. The technology proposition's purchases of laptops and tablets for students and staff have not started.

The older 2021 bond is almost closed out. Nearly every line on its report is at 100%, with districtwide painting at 83% and bus rider safety work at 76%.

The construction report is an information item, so trustees will not vote on it. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Professional Learning & Auxiliary Services Building, 610 E. Bethany Drive.
