Winters recovered Dyami Brown's fumble at the Washington 18 in the third quarter and returned it to the 13, setting up Jake Ferguson's 12-yard touchdown catch that made it 27-13 in Dallas' 37-20 win. ESPN's box lists Winters with a team-high nine tackles (seven solo), one tackle for loss and the lone Cowboys fumble recovery.
Jaishawn Barham forced the strip on Marcus Mariota's short throw that lost 6 yards.
Dallas is 1-1. Washington is 0-2. Dak Prescott threw four touchdown passes for 279 yards and broke Tony Romo's franchise career TD-pass record, according to the Associated Press.
The recovery that changed the temperature
