NETSCOUT has reached a major milestone in its research and development efforts by securing its 750th patent. The latest intellectual property was issued in the United Kingdom on June 24, 2026. The patent, titled "Systems and Methods for Performing Computer Network Service Chain Analysis," adds to the company's holdings in network monitoring, cybersecurity, and service assurance technologies.
The company states that its patent portfolio covers a wide array of technical areas. These include deep packet inspection and real-time network traffic analysis, as well as detection and mitigation of distributed denial-of-service attacks. Additional focus areas involve mobile network performance monitoring, 5G service assurance, network detection and response, and the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning for analytics.
NETSCOUT also highlighted its work in AI-ready data processing for observability and automation. The company noted that its Adaptive Service Intelligence technology forms the basis of its network observability platform. This technology allows for the analysis of network traffic to support operational monitoring, security measures, and AI-driven IT operations.
The organization pointed to its ATLAS global threat intelligence network as a key component of its security offerings. This network monitors internet traffic across more than 200 countries to identify and analyze cyber threats. Recent innovations have centered on carrier telemetry and adaptive threat detection, which support the company's network observability and service assurance products.
NETSCOUT indicated that this achievement reflects continued investment in technologies that support network visibility, cyber threat detection, and telecommunications infrastructure. The company noted that these technologies are increasingly important as organizations adopt cloud computing, AI, and 5G networks.
