MCBANK, a financial institution headquartered in Morgan City, Louisiana, has chosen Jack Henry to supply its core banking technology. The partnership is designed to support the bank's long-term expansion across the Gulf South region and enhance its commercial banking capabilities.

The selection follows a recent merger between MCBANK’s holding company, MC Bancshares, and DMMS Purchaser, an investor group led by former executives from IBERIABANK. This transaction brought more than $225 million in new capital to the bank. With these resources, MCBANK aims to establish itself as a regional commercial and private bank through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

Under the agreement, Jack Henry will provide its modern core processing platform and a suite of technology solutions. These include the Banno Digital Platform, which will offer digital banking services for retail and commercial clients, as well as treasury management tools to assist businesses of various sizes. The bank will also utilize Jack Henry Managed Secure Cloud for IT and cybersecurity support.

Daryl Byrd, chief executive officer of MC Bancshares, stated that the decision was influenced by previous positive experiences with Jack Henry during periods of rapid growth and acquisition. He noted that the technology has evolved significantly while maintaining high service levels. Byrd described the partnership as essential for filling a market gap for relationship-oriented banking.

Byrd also highlighted Jack Henry’s public cloud-native strategy as a key factor in the decision, citing its ability to allow continuous modernization with minimal disruption. Jonathan Baltzell, president of bank solutions at Jack Henry, praised MCBANK’s leadership team and their vision for scaling operations quickly.

Jack Henry, a publicly traded company on Nasdaq, provides technology solutions to approximately 7,400 financial institutions. The company states that its services help clients innovate and compete while serving the needs of their accountholders.

Jack Henry & Associates employs about 694 people in Allen, according to local government records.
