The home team fell to 0-2 after failing to convert a late lead into a win. Attendance at the venue totaled 69,765 as the visitors executed a decisive fourth-quarter push to take the lead for good.

Early Momentum Shifts

Houston opened the contest with a dominant offensive display, establishing a 17-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Raiders managed only a 52-yard field goal by Matt Gay in the second quarter, leaving them trailing 17-3 at halftime. Fairbairn added a 57-yard field goal late in the half to close the gap to 20-17 before the break.

The deciding blow came when Aidan O'Connell ran in for a 1-yard touchdown. Kansei Matsuzawa missed the PAT, but the six points were sufficient to put Las Vegas ahead 22-20. Houston failed to score in the final minutes, sealing the loss.
