Residents of Allen and the surrounding areas are facing the unexpected closure of a beloved local establishment, Mutts Canine Cantina, which was a popular destination for dog owners and their pets. The owners announced on June 29 that all locations, including the one at Fort Worth's Shops at Clearfork, will close permanently.
In addition to this closure, several restaurants across the Dallas-Fort Worth area are celebrating the Fourth of July and America's 250th birthday with special deals and festive menus. This initiative aims to enhance the holiday spirit for local diners.
Meanwhile, a new upscale steakhouse named Hops Kitchen + Bar is set to open in Old Town Keller. This establishment, developed by the team behind another local favorite, is expected to begin construction in August and is projected to open in summer 2027.
Fort Worth has also been recognized as the second-best city in Texas for celebrating the Fourth of July, highlighting its vibrant community spirit during the holiday season.
Lastly, in sports news, Lionel Messi made headlines by setting a World Cup record during Argentina's match against Jordan in Arlington, where he became the first player to score in seven consecutive World Cup games, contributing to his team's 3-1 victory.
