The Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints have each been fined $500,000 by the NFL due to multiple altercations during a recent joint practice session. This comes after a particularly physical practice that reportedly saw over ten fights, including pushing and shoving, as well as punches being thrown.

In a separate incident during practice, Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown were involved in a confrontation that began when Ferguson reacted to a tackle and threw the ball at Overshown. Fortunately, this altercation was resolved quickly and did not escalate.

Cowboys edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku was ejected for throwing a punch, which marked his second ejection during training camp. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer expressed his disappointment regarding the fights, indicating they detracted from essential practice time. He stated that the team aims to focus on their training and does not desire such disruptions.

With the joint practices now behind them, the Cowboys are shifting their attention to their upcoming preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals.
