SMU will open the 2027 football season against Oklahoma at AT&T Stadium, then play four ACC home games against Clemson, NC State, Georgia Tech and Stanford. The Mustangs also will visit Cal, Virginia, Boston College, Pittsburgh and Duke in conference play.
The nine-game ACC schedule will be SMU's second under the league's current format. That structure calls for nine conference games and at least 10 contests against Power Four opponents each season. The ACC said game dates and the complete 2027 schedule are expected in late January.
With Rhett Lashlee as head coach, SMU has gone 15-2 in ACC games and is unbeaten in conference competition at Gerald J. Ford Stadium. That mark is the best among ACC programs during the span.
