The Houston Texans have officially re-signed tight end Louis Hansen, bringing him back to their roster. This is Hansen's second time with the team, as he initially joined in June but was waived in late July. His return does not require any corresponding roster moves.
Hansen went undrafted in April after playing college football at both the University of Michigan and the University of Connecticut. During his collegiate career, he amassed 46 receptions for 463 yards and four touchdowns over 40 games.
The Texans currently have several tight ends on their roster, including Dalton Schultz, Foster Moreau, second-round draft pick Marlin Klein, Cade Stover, Brevin Jordan, and Layne Pryor. Details regarding Hansen's specific role within the team have yet to be announced.
