Jack Henry and Google Cloud have expanded their partnership to develop a proprietary artificial intelligence security platform tailored for community banks and credit unions. The agreement builds on a relationship established in 2022 and allows Jack Henry to utilize Google Cloud’s Agentic Defense portfolio, the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, and Mandiant Consulting services.
This collaboration aims to address the needs of highly regulated financial institutions by combining AI infrastructure with enterprise software and cybersecurity capabilities.
The deal supports Alphabet’s broader cloud strategy, which management has identified as a primary growth driver. Google Cloud revenues surged 63 percent year over year to exceed $20 billion, with a backlog surpassing $460 billion. Alphabet noted that the newly launched Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform enables customers to build and govern AI agents securely.
The Jack Henry partnership serves as a real-world example of this strategy, showcasing how AI and cybersecurity can be integrated into industry-specific solutions.
Jack Henry intends to deploy the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform to improve customer support, automate administrative tasks, enhance analytics, and streamline operations. Early users have reported productivity gains of up to 70 percent. This expansion of AI consumption across multiple workflows creates opportunities for higher cloud usage and deeper customer relationships as financial institutions accelerate their adoption of secure, compliant AI deployments.
Google Cloud’s growth significantly outpaced Alphabet’s overall revenue growth of 22 percent. The cloud division now accounts for approximately 18 percent of Alphabet’s total revenues, up from about 14 percent a year ago. The strong backlog is driven by demand for enterprise AI offerings and new Tensor Processing Unit agreements.
More than half of this backlog is expected to convert into revenues over the next 24 months, providing visibility into future growth.
