Rockets Maintain Perfect Start
The Houston Rockets extended their undefeated season to 5-0 with a decisive 132-100 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday. The visitors dominated the proceedings at Fiserv Forum, where 12,232 fans witnessed a comprehensive defensive effort that limited the home team to just 100 points.
Houston’s balanced attack and superior efficiency were evident throughout the four quarters, resulting in a 32-point margin of victory that solidifies their position atop the standings.
VanVleet and Thompson Drive Offense
Fred VanVleet was the offensive engine for the Rockets, scoring 24 points while dishing out five assists. His scoring was complemented by the dynamic play of Amen Thompson, who contributed significantly through driving dunks and efficient shooting. The Rockets’ backcourt controlled the pace, with VanVleet hitting crucial three-pointers and creating separation in the paint.
On the Bucks’ side, Tyler Herro led the scoring with 23 points, but he could not overcome the defensive pressure applied by Houston. Kasparas Jakucionis provided the playmaking with six assists, while Kel'el Ware grabbed eight rebounds for Milwaukee.
Second Quarter Surge Decides Game
The Rockets established an early lead and never looked back, outscoring Milwaukee 34-14 in the second quarter. This 20-point swing in the second frame gave Houston a commanding 57-35 lead heading into halftime. The Bucks managed to keep the game competitive in the third quarter, outscoring Houston 34-31 in that period, but the deficit was already too large to overcome.
