City officials in Valley View, Texas, have requested residents to conserve water following a malfunction at one of the city's water wells. Repairs commenced on Thursday and are anticipated to last one to two days.
While the reserve water tanks are currently at full capacity, officials advise limiting water consumption to maintain adequate supplies for household needs, public safety, and emergency services throughout the repair period. Restrictions have been put in place, including prohibiting lawn watering, filling pools and hot tubs, washing vehicles unless for public safety or commercial reasons, and cleaning driveways and paved areas.
Residents are encouraged to refrain from all unnecessary water use.
Cooke County Emergency Services indicated that although contractors estimate the repair duration to be one to two days, this timeframe could change. They do not foresee any boil water notices at this moment but will provide updates if the situation evolves. Officials stressed that any unnecessary water consumption could exacerbate the issue, urging residents to remain informed for further developments.
