Allen and Prosper entered their District 6-6A opener as two undefeated teams with strong offensive records. The matchup took place at Prosper’s Children’s Health Stadium, marking the first district contest for both squads.
Allen arrived at the game ranked No. 2 in the High School On SI Texas Top 25, while Prosper was unranked but seeking a result that could secure a spot in the next week’s rankings.
The Eagles from Allen began their season with home victories over Duncanville and DeSoto. Their most recent game featured a road trip to Southlake Carroll, where Allen overcame an early 14-0 deficit. The team responded with a 35-7 scoring run to finish with a 56-35 win. In that contest, Allen recorded 701 total offensive yards. Quarterback Ty Snell contributed 305 passing yards and three touchdowns.
Through three games, Snell has completed 41 of 57 passes for 637 yards and nine scores. Receiver Zach Williams has caught 19 passes for 279 yards and six touchdowns. Prosper also defeated Southlake Carroll in its previous game, winning 49-40 at home.
That victory was driven by quarterback Tyler Albert, who passed for 359 yards and six touchdowns while adding 88 rushing yards and another score.
