Allen junior Josyah Johnson is part of a squad that defeated Duncanville, DeSoto, and Southlake Carroll during its early-season run. The combined score across those three victories was 132-48. This schedule is described as arguably the toughest in the state for any Class 6A program.
Prosper has also maintained a perfect record despite replacing most of its starting lineup on both offense and defense. The team currently leads the area in scoring offense and ranks second in total yardage among 6A programs. Its success places it alongside Allen as a primary contender for district supremacy.
Other teams in the district have shown promise as well. Prosper Walnut Grove continues its winning ways after moving up to 6A, ranking in the top 15 for both yards gained and allowed. Prosper Rock Hill has navigated defensive-heavy games successfully. Additionally, McKinney Boyd and McKinney have displayed improvements on offense.
The broader Class 6A landscape includes other undefeated teams like Lewisville, which averaged over 51 points per game during its preseason run. In District 5-6A, Denton Guyer remains a top-ranked threat despite a recent loss to Waxahachie. Hebron and Braswell are also projected to make the postseason in that district.
