A resident of Allen, Charles Dewayne Ford, has been charged with several drug-related offenses following an investigation by the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force. The arrest occurred on July 2, 2026, at Ford's home located on Anneta Road in Grayson County.
Law enforcement officials responded to a complaint of drug trafficking and discovered a marijuana grow operation in Ford's closet, along with packaged methamphetamine believed to be intended for resale. Officers also found $2,000 in cash during the search. According to the citation, Ford attempted to conceal the marijuana by placing it in a Ziploc bag and hiding it under other items in his closet.
In addition to the marijuana and methamphetamine, authorities reported that Ford possessed a notebook containing evidence related to narcotics trafficking and marijuana cultivation. Following his arrest, Ford was taken to the Grayson County Detention Center.
Ford, who is 57 years old, faces multiple charges including first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, cultivating marijuana (for having five or more plants), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence. Notably, Ford was previously convicted in September 2022 for trafficking in methamphetamine and is currently on probation until 2030.
