KDFI 27, branded as FOX 4 PLUS, will carry live high school football during the upcoming regular season, including a Sept. 17 Allen at Prosper matchup at Children's Health Stadium. The package had aired on TXA 21 through 2019 and on CW33 from 2020 through 2025.
The schedule covers 11 regular-season weeks. Ten games are scheduled for Thursdays, with one Friday game, and each broadcast will also stream on the FOX LOCAL app. Programs listed in the package include five-time state champion Allen, six-time state champion Highland Park, three-time state champion Denton Ryan and Parish Episcopal, which has won six TAPPS titles in seven years.
Allen's Sept. 17 game at Prosper is listed as a District 6-6A matchup that could factor into the league race. Allen defeated Prosper 31-30 last season after scoring the go-ahead touchdown with 1:12 remaining.
Other listed games include Arlington Bowie at Prosper Rock Hill on Aug. 27, Mansfield Timberview at Denton Ryan on Sept. 3, Melissa at Rockwall on Sept. 10, Frisco Wakeland at Denton Guyer on Sept. 24, Fort Worth Benbrook against Fort Worth Eastern Hills on Oct. 1, Trophy Club Byron Nelson at Keller on Oct. 8, Highland Park at Carrollton Creekview on Oct. 15, and Parish Episcopal at Prestonwood on Oct. 23.
The Sept. 3 Timberview-Ryan game will be played at C.H. Collins Complex. Ryan went 12-2 last season and reached a regional final, and Shane Tolleson is now its head coach after going 45-17 across five seasons at Waxahachie.
The Oct. 15 Highland Park-Creekview game is set for Standridge Stadium, with Highland Park quarterback Buck Randall listed among the players involved. Highland Park finished 12-2 last year and reached a regional final, while Creekview went 9-2.
The only Friday broadcast listed is the Oct. 23 Parish Episcopal at Plano Prestonwood Christian game at Lions Stadium. It is a rematch of last season's TAPPS Division I state title game, which Parish Episcopal won 14-7. The Oct. 29 and Nov. 5 games have not been announced yet, with selections to be made closer to those dates to account for playoff or district-title implications.
