The high school football season is underway with a slate of matchups broadcast weekly on KDFI 27, known as FOX 4+, and through the free FOX LOCAL mobile application. Viewers can tune in to live broadcasts each week, with most games airing on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m.

The broadcast team returns for its twenty-first consecutive season, featuring play-by-play announcer Doug Anderson alongside analyst LaDarrin McLane. Sideline reporter Chris Mycoskie joins the crew for his seventh straight year covering North Texas high school football.

This week features a district opener between two undefeated teams: the Allen Eagles and the Prosper Eagles. The contest takes place at Children's Health Stadium in Prosper. Both squads enter the game with perfect 3-0 records.

Allen has secured victories against established Texas programs Duncanville, DeSoto, and Southlake. Prosper has also remained unbeaten, scoring at least 49 points in each of its three wins. The Eagles' recent results include a decisive victory over Rockwall, an overtime win against North Forney, and a narrow triumph over Westlake.

FOX 4+ has outlined the Game of the Week schedule for the coming months. Upcoming broadcasts include Frisco Wakeland at Denton Guyer on Sept. 24, followed by Fort Worth Benbrook versus Fort Worth Eastern Hills on Oct. 1. The schedule continues with Trophy Club Byron Nelson at Keller on Oct. 8 and Highland Park at Carrollton Creekview on Oct. 15.

Later matchups include Parish Episcopal versus Prestonwood on Oct. 23, with two additional games yet to be determined for late October and early November. Past broadcasts have featured Arlington Bowie at Prosper Rock Hill, Mansfield Timberview at Denton Ryan, and Melissa at Rockwall.

FOX 4+ is accessible via Spectrum and Frontier on channel 7, DirecTV and DISH on channel 27, and over the air on antenna channels 27.1 and 4.2. The network also partners with YouTube TV and Fubo for streaming.

The FOX LOCAL app provides free 24/7 live streaming of local programming, breaking news, weather, traffic, and sports coverage. It is available without a cable subscription on Roku, Amazon FireTV, Apple TV, Google Android TV, Vizio devices, and smartphones. The application can be downloaded from the Apple App Store for iPhone users and the Google Play Store for Android users.
