Barrio Burrito Bar Plans Saturday Grand Opening for Its Custer Road Restaurant

Barrio Burrito Bar, a fast-casual chain that serves burritos, bowls and tacos, will hold a grand opening and ribbon cutting Saturday, Sept. 26, at its restaurant at 1480 N. Custer Road, Suite 140, in Allen.

The ribbon cutting is set for 10:30 a.m., according to the company. The restaurant is already listed as open on the company's website, with hours of 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

For the grand opening, the company says regular-size burritos and bowls will be $5.99 on Saturday, and it plans live mariachi music.

Second in Texas

The Allen restaurant is the chain's second in Texas, after one that opened in Round Rock earlier this year, according to the company. Its website lists a third, in Fort Worth, as coming soon.

"We're incredibly excited to continue building Barrio Burrito Bar's presence in Texas with the opening of our second location in Allen," Jeff Young, the company's chief development officer, said in the announcement.

The brand entered the U.S. market in 2020 and grows through franchising, according to the company.
